I’m Eren Akay, a software engineer from Türkiye and co-founder of 4ourstack, a two-person product studio.
I like owning a product from the first schema to the store listing. In practice that means real-time voice agents in Python, APIs in .NET and NestJS, mobile apps in React Native, computer vision services, and the Hetzner boxes, CI pipelines and runbooks that keep all of it up.
Most of what I build is our own: SpeakTable, lit, Barcodie and a handful of smaller apps. Alongside them I work with companies as an independent AI engineer — voice agents, document search, workflow agents and computer vision — usually where an AI feature has to work reliably, not just demo well.
How I work

Prompts ask, code guarantees.
Anything that must be reliable — limits, order, moderation, money — lives in code, not in a prompt.

Measure first.
Latency, cost per session, accuracy. The riskiest number gets measured before the second feature is written.

Boring infrastructure.
Docker Compose, Postgres, Caddy, a runbook. Self-hosted where it saves real money, managed where it saves real time.

Contracts between parts.
An OpenAPI file or a typed error catalog is cheaper than a meeting.
